TREATMENT TIME

Pulses of light deliver a mild pinching or stinging sensation but cooling gel is used to minimize discomfort. Anaesthesia or pain medicine is typically not required.

RECOVERY

1-3 treatments are usually sufficient to see results. Excessive sun damage may require more. Immediately following the treatment, brown spots will start to darken & your skin may appear slightly red. It lasts for a few hours but may persist for a day or longer. 1-3 weeks later the darkened spots will flake off and fade. One treatment can give great results or a second or third one may be desired for optimal results. Make up can be applied immediately afterward and there is usually no downtime associated with this treatment.

RESULTS

You can expect to see subtle yet consistent results after each treatment. On average clients require 4 to 6 treatments in order to achieve optimal results

MORE INFO

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treating pigment using the latest technology available – programmable Limelight. The limelight facial is a new, non-invasive approach to skin rejuvenation using Cutera’s Limelight application. Unlike many other IPL devices this unique programmable IPL procedure offers the advantage of improving not only high contrast (dark) pigment but low contrast (lighter) pigment and also improves skin tone and surface imperfections associated with ageing and sun damage. Limelight is ideal for any part of the face, neck and décolleté for brown spots and pigment, skin redness & telangiectasia (tiny veins). It’s also a great way of treating pigment spots on the hands, arms and legs too.

Special programs are customized for skin types and for treating brown and/or red pigmented areas on your skin. It is the heating of the pigmented browns or red cells that cause the therapeutic effect.
