TREATMENT TIME
This depends on the type of pill chosen to treat your skin concerns. Lira Clinical Peels work by applying a thin layer of skin prepped solutions which starts to dissovle the layer of dead skin cells. Then a layer of your chosen Lira Peel is applied and left to continue the dissolving process for up to 6 minutes. You may feel some gentle tingling and warmth. The peel is then neutralized to stop the process. Overall peel treatment peel time will take about 30 minutes.
RECOVERY
Depends on which stregnth peel option you choose (see below). The higher strength peels contain a topical anaesthetic to minimise discomfort and peeling of the skin is expected from day 2 until about day 7.
RESULTS
Visible results are obvious after just one treatment, but a series of treatments will show the best results over time.

The aim of any skin peel is to remove the skin’s outer layer, the stratum corneum which is composed primarily of dead cells. The removal of this layer enhances the creation of the healthy new layer below. When performed properly, this procedure can effectively diminish the appearance of wrinkles, age spots and blemishes with little or no trauma to the healthy cells. Lactic Glycolic Peels
Lactic & Glycolic peels, sometimes referred to as AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) peels target the epidermis (the uppermost layer of the skin), breaking down the glue that holds the skin cells and they also penetrate the skins surface enabling the removal of the dull, dry skin layer. This results in a faster cell turn over, more youthful appearance and reduction of fine lines.
Pumpkin Peels
Our pumpkin peels are specially formulated with pumpkin enzymes and are infused with Vitamin A to improve skin tone, texture and the appearance of fine lines.
Vitamin A Peels
The Vitamin A peel stimulates collagen and elastin production and increases blood and oxygen flow to the skin essentially feeding the skin from the inside out, a process that takes only a few weeks.
Vitamin C Peels
Vitamin C peels are ideal for those concerned with sun damage. Their powerful antioxidant properties help to brightens and renew whilst protecting the skin from free radical damage caused by sun exposure, an anti-aging must, that is gentle enough even for sensitive skins.
Jessner Peels
Based upon salicylic acid, lactic acid and resorcinol, our Jessner peels are used primarily as a preparation peel for medium to deep peeling such as TCA but can be used effectively to treat areas of hyperpigmentation, (melasma’s in particular) and to minimise outbreak.
TCA Peels
Our TCA peels are available in two different strengths, 25% which provides medium-depth remodelling and 40% which offers the deepest and therefore more efficient skin remodelling. TCA peels will improve colour, freshness, texture, skin tone, and fine wrinkles. They also help to remove superficial discoloration, such as age spots and are ideal for those who want a deeper peel with minimal down time. As these are higher strength peels they contain a topical anaesthetic to minimise discomfort and peeling of the skin is expected from day 2 until about day 5.
